Staying fit at over 40

Far too much energy after 10 miles!

Paula (MFS Founder) proved yesterday that we over 40s are anything but over the hill! Paula is now in training for the South Downs Marathon in April 2011, and as part of her training plan entered the Eridge Park 10 Mile Race.

Paula hadn’t run this far before, so was a little nervous, but put in a time of 1hr 43mins…a great time! And what was really encouraging for us all was the sheer number of competitors who were 40+! Out of a field of around 600 competitors, there were easily more than 150 “seniors” in the race, just going to show how popular running has become as a sport for us older members of society, and how more and more of us are looking for ways to stay fit as we get older.

Well done, Paula, and good luck with the Marathon training!
